Understanding Psychotherapy

Psychotherapy is also commonly called "talk therapy." It is a process where you work with a trained therapist to address problems and concerns that impact your mental health. Common goals addressed in therapy are reducing anxiety and depression symptoms, developing stress management and coping skills, improving relationships and self-esteem and healing from past traumas.

Talking with a stranger about these deeply personal aspects of yourself can make some feel very vulnerable. However, by developing a strong and trusting relationship with a therapist and being open with them can also yield amazing results in your ability to take care of yourself and experience joy, love and overall wellness in your life. All of our practitioners are warm, empathetic and non-judgmental and will make you feel at ease during your therapeutic sessions.
